Developed as a light tactical fighter for NATO countries, the Fiat G91 was valued highly for its efficiency. After its first flight in 1956 in Italy, the G91 was adopted by West Germany and Portugal. The Fiat G91 was well known due to being employed by the Italian aerial acrobatic team from 1962 to 1982.
