The Raketenjagdpanzer Jaguar 2 was an anti-tank missile carrier used by the German Bundeswehr. It was developed between 1983 and 1985 by converting older Kanonenjagdpanzer (gun tank destroyers). Additional armor was installed on the front and sides of the hull to improve protection.
A total of 165 vehicles were produced. Its main armament was the TOW anti-tank guided missile system, equipped with the AN/TAS night vision device, making the Jaguar 2 fully capable of night operations from the start.

Unlike its predecessor, the Jaguar 1, the Jaguar 2 did not feature a hull-mounted machine gun but was fitted with a smoke grenade launcher on the front. The TOW launcher was mounted on a retractable platform, operated manually by the gunner and loader, who were exposed when the launcher was in use. Due to this design, the vehicle lacked full armor and NBC (nuclear, biological, chemical) protection during combat.

Up to 14 missiles could be carried inside the vehicle, with 12 as standard combat load. The TOW launcher could also be deployed separately from the vehicle.

Powered by a 500 hp MTU V8 diesel engine, the 24.8-ton vehicle could reach speeds of up to 70 km/h. It measured 6.61 meters in length, 3.12 meters in width, and 1.98 meters in height. From 1989 onwards, the improved TOW 2 missile was introduced. The Jaguar 2 was retired from active service in 1999.
