The Hawker "Hurricane" is one of the most well-known British fighters of World War II. It had been in production from 1937 to 1944 without significant design modifications, except the engine and armament. A total of 14,583 planes were built. The "Hurricane" Mk.I was the first production version of the aircraft, which was used in Norway, Belgium and France. In August 1940, early "Hurricanes" were the most numerous British fighters in the Battle of Britain.
