Originally announced at the 1992 Detroit Motor Show, the Mercedes-Benz S600 luxury coupe was also the subject of AMG's attentions. As Mercedes' official tuner, AMG brought their racing technology and experience to play and raised the output of the V12 engine from 395hp to 440hp without changing the displacement. New dampers springs and stabilizers were added to fine-tune the car for high-speed driving conditions and aero parts were added to improve aerodynamics, resulting in the ultimate luxury coupe.
