Vickers 6-Ton Light Tank Alt B Late Production Finnish T-26E – Full Interior

Riich Models CV35A010 is a 1:35 scale plastic model kit of the Finnish Vickers 6-Ton light tank T-26E, based on the late-production Alt B variant. The kit features a fully detailed interior, allowing the modeller to reproduce the vehicle’s internal compartments and create a build with open hatches.

The Finnish T-26E represents a modified Vickers 6-Ton equipped with Soviet-style armament. The kit includes detailed components for the hull, turret, running gear and interior, together with photo-etched parts and decals. Six painting and marking options are provided.

Vickers 6-Ton and the Finnish T-26E

The Vickers 6-Ton, also known as the Vickers Mark E, was a British light tank developed in the late 1920s. The design was intended primarily for export and was purchased by several countries, including Finland.

The Type B variant featured a single turret and was developed as an alternative to the twin-turret Type A. The Vickers 6-Ton also became the basis for the Soviet T-26, which was developed and produced in large numbers as an infantry support tank.

Finland operated Vickers 6-Ton tanks and subsequently modified some of them to meet local requirements. Several vehicles were fitted with Soviet 45 mm guns, resulting in the Finnish T-26E configuration. These tanks were used by the Finnish Army during the Second World War.

The Soviet T-26

The T-26 was one of the most widely produced Soviet infantry support tanks of the interwar period and the early years of the Second World War. Early versions were equipped with two turrets, while from 1933 the main production variant featured a single turret armed with a 45 mm gun.

T-26 tanks saw combat in numerous conflicts, including the Spanish Civil War, the Winter War against Finland, the Soviet invasion of Poland in 1939 and the early stages of the German-Soviet War in 1941. The design was developed into numerous variants, including tanks with improved turrets, flamethrower vehicles and bridge-laying tanks.
