Background
The Bristol Beaufighter MK.VI established itself as one of the most feared night fighters of the RAF from 1941 onwards. With its powerful Hercules engines and the improved aerodynamics due to the modified horizontal stabilizer, the MK proved its worth. VI variant especially in the Mediterranean and the Pacific. The RAAF successfully used the "Beau", as she was affectionately called, in reconnaissance missions and attacks on Japanese ships.
