At the end of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th Century, it was common to see delivery vehicles driving around the streets, much like today's modern vans, as they transported different consumer goods, fabrics, milk, bread, beverages, etc. to the businesses and shops, or as in our model, directly to the customer. In addition to their primary function for the delivery of merchandise, they were also commonly used for advertising purposes, where they competed with each other to display the brightest colours, paying meticulous attention to the typography and the design to capture the pedestrian's attention about the products they were transporting.
