HMS Victory is a wooden model of one of the most famous warships in the history of the British Navy. The OcCre kit allows you to build a detailed replica of this three-masted sailing ship, featuring three gun decks, elaborate decorative details, rigging and sails. This is an advanced modelling project designed for experienced modellers, requiring patience, precision and considerable time to complete.
Please note: this is a kit that requires assembly. Glue, paints and basic modelling tools should be purchased separately, as they are not listed among the standard kit contents.
HMS Victory was launched in 1765 at the Chatham Dockyard and served in the Royal Navy during numerous naval conflicts. The ship achieved its greatest fame at the Battle of Trafalgar on 21 October 1805, when it served as the flagship of Admiral Horatio Nelson. The British fleet defeated the combined French and Spanish forces, but Nelson was mortally wounded during the battle.
The ship was a first-rate vessel armed with 104 guns arranged across three gun decks. Its distinctive black-and-yellow hull stripes, numerous cannons and richly decorated stern became instantly recognisable features of its appearance. HMS Victory has survived to the present day and is preserved in Portsmouth as a museum ship.
HMS Victory is an excellent choice for experienced modellers interested in historic sailing ships and traditional ship modelling. The large number of parts, wooden hull construction, rigging and sail assembly make this a demanding project that requires a significant investment of time. Once completed, the model will make an impressive centrepiece for a collection or an exhibition dedicated to maritime history.
