These techniques are the same as those used for any ship, regardless of its type or size: working the materials, building and planking a hull, mast building, rigging and sails, varnishing and finishing wood and metals, and lots more

The name Polaris corresponds to the "Pole Star", the guiding star used by navigators. The Polaris ship aims to be a guide to get started in naval modelling.
