In 1957, Don Yenko began selling aftermarket vehicle parts at the dealership his father had opened in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania. In the 1960s, completely redesigned vehicles with the SYC (Yenko Super Car) name on the hood were also sold here. In 1969, Yenko ordered COPO Novas with 7-liter engines from the factory. Into these he introduced further modifications, creating true SYCs.
