A plastic model kit depicting the German 3.6-6700A 4x4 off-road truck, part of a family of vehicles used by the German Armed Forces during World War II. This kit depicts an early production version of the vehicle and allows for the recreation of a vehicle used both for transporting supplies and in direct support of combat units.
The model was developed with great attention to detail. The kit also includes a photo-etched panel with small details of the vehicle's equipment and structure. The included decals allow you to create four historical marking variants.
The 3.6-6700A was a three-ton truck with four-wheel drive, designed as a more off-road-capable variant of the standard truck. 3.6-36S. The "A" in the designation came from the German word "Allrad" and denoted four-wheel drive. The vehicle also received a 3.6-liter six-cylinder gasoline engine. The introduction of 4×4 drive, increased ground clearance, and a specially adapted chassis improved the vehicle's off-road capabilities. This allowed the truck to operate more efficiently on poor-surface roads and over difficult, unpaved terrain. Production of the 3.6-6700A model began in 1940 and continued until 1944. Vehicles of this type were primarily used to transport troops, ammunition, equipment, and supplies. All-wheel drive was particularly useful for operations in areas where standard single-axle trucks struggled to maintain mobility. 3.6-6700A trucks served on various fronts, including the Eastern Front and North Africa.
The early production version presented in the kit allows you to recreate vehicles from various stages of the war and various theaters of operation. Four marking variants cover vehicles used by armored units on the Eastern Front, as well as those used by the Deutsches Afrika Korps and anti-aircraft units in Tunisia.
Note: The kit does not include glue or paints. Basic modeling tools are also required to build the model.
