Original

The M36 was an American tank destroyer developed during World War II in response to the emergence of German armored vehicles such as the Panther and Tiger. Its key feature was the 90mm M3 gun, which provided greater firepower than the 76mm gun used on the preceding M10 tank destroyer. The M36 also utilized a hull derived from the M10 design.

The M36B1 variant was created to utilize the large number of available M4A3 Sherman tank hulls. Their chassis featured a turret adapted to house a powerful 90 mm gun. Like other American tank destroyers, the turret was open-topped, providing the crew with improved visibility during combat operations.

The M36B1 entered service in the final stages of World War II. Thanks to its effective armament, vehicles of this type remained in use well after the war. They were used in numerous armies and participated in subsequent armed conflicts.

Note: The kit does not include glue or paints. Basic modeling tools are also required to build the model.
