The Sikorsky MH-60L DAP is a specialised version of the Black Hawk developed for US Special Operations Forces. DAP stands for Direct Action Penetrator. These helicopters are primarily used to escort transport helicopters, provide fire support and engage ground targets.

Unlike the standard Black Hawk, the DAP version is equipped with an extensive weapons system. Its armament can include Hellfire anti-tank missiles, Hydra 70 unguided rockets, machine-gun pods and an M230 cannon. This equipment enables the helicopter to provide effective support for special operations requiring substantial firepower and precision strikes.

The MH-60L DAP is operated by the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (Airborne), known as the “Night Stalkers”. The unit specialises in providing aviation support for US special operations forces, including missions conducted at night and in challenging conditions.

This kit requires assembly and painting. Adhesives and paints are not included.
