This limited-edition double kit contains two 1:48 scale models of American Douglas B-26 Invader bombers. They represent late-production aircraft, including the B-26C variant with its distinctive glazed nose section. The kit includes decals for two aircraft, “Monie” and “Neva Hoppen”, both featuring characteristic nose art.
Kit features:
The Douglas B-26 Invader, originally designated the A-26, was an American twin-engine attack bomber. It entered service in 1944 and saw extensive use during the Korean War (1950–1953), attacking enemy positions, lines of communication, road convoys and railway traffic.
During the conflict, these aircraft were primarily used for night operations against enemy convoys and trains. Their speed, substantial bomb load and powerful machine-gun armament made them effective attack aircraft. The B-26 Invader took part in both the first and the last American bombing missions of the Korean War.
The B-26C variant featured a glazed nose section, unlike the solid, gun-equipped nose of the B-26B. Both versions are represented in this kit.
