SOCOM M1245 M-ATV Armored Vehicle Model

The SOCOM M1245 M-ATV (MRAP All-Terrain Vehicle) is a specialized armored all-terrain vehicle designed for special forces and units operating in high-threat areas. It is designed to provide a high level of protection against mines, improvised explosive devices (IEDs), and small arms fire while maintaining excellent mobility in challenging terrain. This kit features a detailed model of the M1245 M-ATV with a richly detailed interior, a complete drivetrain, and many components characteristic of modern military vehicles. The cabin was made using multi-slide mold technology, which allowed for high detail while limiting the number of parting lines.

Original History

The M-ATV was developed by Oshkosh Defense in response to the U.S. armed forces' need for an MRAP vehicle capable of operating off-road. Unlike previous heavy vehicles in this class, the M-ATV provides significantly improved off-road mobility while maintaining a high level of crew protection.

The M1245 version used by the United States Special Operations Command was adapted for special missions. Vehicles of this type have participated in operations conducted in Afghanistan, Iraq, and numerous expeditionary operations, among others. Their equipment may include remotely controlled or gunner-operated weapon stations, advanced communication systems, and additional equipment tailored to the nature of the mission.
