Description

Dingo 2 Protected Reconnaissance Vehicle (PRV) Armored Reconnaissance Vehicle Model

The Dingo 2 is a German light armored vehicle of the MRAP (Mine Resistant Ambush Protected) class, designed for reconnaissance, patrol, and convoy escort in high-threat areas. Its design combines high mobility with excellent ballistic and mine protection, which has led to it being used in the Bundeswehr and the armed forces of many other countries for many years. The model faithfully reproduces the reconnaissance version equipped with a remotely controlled weapon module and a mast with an observation head.

Model

This kit presents a detailed model of the Dingo 2 vehicle with a richly detailed chassis and exterior components. The cabin was made using multi-slide mold technology, which allowed for high-quality reproduction of details. The manufacturer also provided a complete drivetrain and suspension, ensuring the model's realistic underside is also impressive.

  • over 400 parts,
  • length of the finished model: 175.8 mm,
  • detailed cabin using multi-slide molds,

The model does not include glue or paints, which must be purchased separately.

    History of the original

The Dingo 2 was developed by the German company Krauss-Maffei Wegmann as a development of the earlier Dingo 1 vehicle. The design is based on the Unimog U5000 chassis and was designed to provide high crew protection against mines, improvised explosive devices, and small arms fire.

Vehicles of this type were extensively used during missions in Afghanistan, Mali, and other stabilization operations. The Dingo 2 is in service in many variants, including patrol, reconnaissance, command, medical and transport versions. Thanks to its high mobility and high level of protection, it remains one of the most valued vehicles in its class.
