The Mikoyan-Gurevich 29 (9-13) is a variant similar to the 9-12, but with an enlarged fuselage spine containing additional fuel and a "Gardeniya" active jammer. The product 9-13S is also a version with the same airframe as the 9-13, but with an increased external weapons load of 4,000 kg, and a provision for two underwing fuel tanks. Its radar is upgraded to N019ME, providing an ability to track 10 targets and to engage 2 simultaneously.
