The Antonov An-22 "Antaeus" ("Product No. 100") is a heavy transport turboprop aircraft. It was created in the Antonov Experimental Design Bureau in the Soviet Union. The An-22 is the first Russian wide-body aircraft and it remains the world's largest turboprop aircraft to date. The maiden flight was in February 27, 1965. A total of 68 aircraft were produced in 1965-1976. The An-22s were used in the Soviet Air Force and they continue to serve in the Russian Air Force.
