In 1944, some 25000 Brazillians went over to Italy to fight the Germans. This Forca Expedicionaria Brasileira, consisting mainly of infantry, was equipped with jeeps, trucks and armoured recce vehicles - all supplied by the United States. The territorial units used M3 Stuarts and M3A3 Lee's, obsolete after the Italy campaign but still in use until the seventies. The territorial unit's vehicles in this set have markings of 1943.
