The de Havilland DH.110 "Sea Vixen" British twin-boom carrier-borne two-seat all-weather strike jet fighter first flew on 26 September 1951. It had been in the inventory of the Royal Navy from 1959 to 1972. There were two production versions of the plane. The FAW.2 "Sea Vixen" version featuring greater guided missile capabilities went into production in 1962. A total of 145 aircraft of both versions were built.
