This 12-color set includes all the paints needed to realistically depict German tanks and vehicles produced between 1943 and 1945, including running gear and tools. Starting in 1943, German regulations required tanks to be factory-painted in Dunkelgelb (dark yellow), officially designated as RAL 7028. Crews could then apply camouflage—most often using Olivgrün (olive green, RAL 6003) and a brown tone referred to in official documents as Rotbraun or Braun. However, modelers often use the modern name and designation: Schokobraun (RAL 8017).
In addition to these authentic green and brown camouflage colors, the set includes two shades of dunkelgelb: a darker base tone, ideal for creating shadows, and a standard tone representing this most iconic German tank color. It also features two rust tones—light and dark—for replicating exhaust pipe and track rust, which can be further enhanced using a very dark brown for realistic chipping effects.
The set also includes essential colors for painting tracks: a neutral brown base and a dark metallic tone, which is also great for painting tools. A reddish brown is provided for wooden tool handles, and black for rubber parts and other details. Rounding out the set is “Bone," a versatile color for highlighting and lightening tones.
All colors can be used as-is for painting individual vehicle components or blended to create custom tones—especially useful for adding volume through highlights and shadows.
