ATOM COLOR – Spanish Republican Air Force Aircraft Paint Set

This set contains four ATOM COLOR acrylic paints specially selected for painting models of aircraft operated by the Spanish Republican Air Force during the Spanish Civil War. These colors were used on many Republican aircraft and also on some Soviet aircraft during the early stages of World War II.

The set is suitable for reproducing the finishes of aircraft such as the Polikarpov I-15 “Chato”, Polikarpov I-16 “Mosca”, Tupolev SB-2 “Katiuska”, and Dewoitine D.510. The selected colors help modelers recreate historical paint schemes and achieve a consistent, realistic finish.

ATOM paints feature a water-based formula suitable for both brush and airbrush application. Their self-levelling properties help produce a smooth finish, while fast drying and excellent coverage make painting more efficient. Once fully dry, they form a durable paint film that allows the use of additional modelling products, including acrylics, lacquers, enamels, and decal-setting solutions.

The paints come in transparent 20 ml bottles with a convenient vertical dropper cap that can be opened and closed with one hand. They can be applied directly from the bottle or thinned with ATOM Thinner and Cleaner products. Versions containing a retarder are also available.
